A setup checklist for browser profiles.

Name the workspace, assign the connection and verify it before handing it to your team.

A separate profile does not automatically mean a separate IP.

Name the profile for its task

Use a name that identifies the market or authorised workspace. A profile keeps browser data and settings together; its proxy settings determine the route used by requests that follow those settings.

Decide which workspaces need different exits and which need the same exit throughout a sequence. You may not need one IP for every profile.

Enter and check the proxy settings

  • Use the supplied proxy protocol, host and port.
  • Enter proxy credentials rather than the website account password.
  • Keep secrets out of screenshots and shared setup notes.
  • Check the connection, save the profile and open the actual environment.

Check the IP inside the profile

Visit an IP lookup page inside the profile and record the observed exit. Next, open a representative target page. A successful proxy connection test does not prove that every website will work.

If your task needs continuity, check the exit again after a short sequence. Check how long the product retains an IP and what its session conditions allow. Monthly billing does not promise a permanent IP.

Record the setup for your team

Record the browser version, intended task, assigned proxy resource and last verification time. Recheck when the resource or application changes.

Use the AdsPower walkthrough for its specific setup labels. For other browsers, follow their own setup documentation. This checklist does not confirm compatibility.
